Join Green Impact for general practice   

Green Impact is a scheme which has been empowering general practices across the UK to become more sustainable through free toolkits, advice and tips. This scheme will help you reduce environmental impacts, enhance cost savings, boost staff morale and learning and align with greener NHS aspirations. 1,500 general practices are already on board.

Are you interested in joining a North West NHS Biodiversity Group?

This group will be chaired by Thomas Mitchell, Sustainability Manager at Bolton NHS FT and supported by George Coombes, Senior Advisor - Health and Environment (North West).  We are looking to have the initial meeting in February 2024. The key aims of the group will be:

  • A means of sharing information from a national level to regional
  • Information sharing
    • Ideas
    • Legislative compliance e.g. tree surveys (Occupiers Liability Act 1954/1980)
    • Frameworks and contractors
    • Funding
  • Networking
  • Project discussions and monitoring (links in with ideas)
  • Green Plan (Biodiversity focused) discussions and monitoring
