Influence Panel

The Influence Panel is made up of volunteers who provide feedback, advice and guidance from a public perspective on the work of the ICB.

Volunteers are sought from all over Lancashire and South Cumbria and it is our intention that membership should be as representative as possible of the region's population, both in terms of geographical location and in terms of individual backgrounds.

The areas supported by the Influence Panel are varied and wide-ranging, from the transformation of urgent and emergency care services to access to dental services and oral health, and from supporting the development of consultation approaches to supporting procurement processes.

Recruitment to the group takes place annually and is currently closed.

Meetings and key recommendations

The Influence Panel meets every other month and receives a presentation on one key topic each time.

Following the presentation and discussions, Influence Panel members provide some key recommendations. These are listed below, where we will also publish the actions taken to respond to the recommendations.

Key recommendations:

  1. A workstream to be established to allow Influence Panel members to support on an ongoing basis.
    • Expressions of interest have been requested to support integrated urgent care as an ongoing workstream.
  2. Undertake further engagement with residents of rural communities regarding the design of the SEAT model to ensure there is more consideration for those living in rural communities.
  3. Undertake a public education campaign once any proposals are agreed to help communities to better understand how urgent care services are configured.
