The Board
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) is governed by a unitary Board of executive, non-executive and partner organisation members. Full details on Board membership is available in the members section of this website and within the ICB constitution.
The Board makes sure there are appropriate arrangements in place to carry out its functions effectively, efficiently, economically and in accordance with the principles of good governance.
Board meetings are held in public and papers are published on this website at least seven calendar days before the meeting. More information is available in the meetings and papers section.
Information for members of the public observing the ICB Board
To be open and transparent regarding the business of the Board, members of the public will be invited to observe the formal meetings. Details of the venue for each meeting will be available in advance and we will also be live streaming the meetings on YouTube. The venue, agenda, papers and minutes for Board will be published on the meetings and papers page.
Members of the public can request to observe the Board in person by completing contact us form below, ensuring that you provide your name and contact email address. The link to watch the live stream of the meeting will be made available on the ICB website prior to the commencement of the meeting.
Submitting questions in advance
If you have any questions to put to the Board relating to items on the agenda, we ask for these to be submitted in advance of the meeting by completing our contact us form (opens in a new window). This form will open once papers have been published on the ICB’s website seven calendar days prior to the meeting.
Any questions received after noon on the Monday before the scheduled meeting may not be considered for the proceeding meeting.
Questions that are related to an agenda item will be addressed in the meeting and a written response will be sent directly to the individual who raised the question within 20 working days. For questions related to more general matters regarding the ICB please direct these to Lscicb.contactus@nhs.net and for questions related to individual patient experience please direct these to lscicb-fw.patientexperience@nhs.net.
Guidance for attending Board Meetings
A meeting in public is where members of the public can attend to observe a formal meeting. However, observers are not permitted to join in the discussion.
These are different from public meetings, which are open forums to allow members of the public to ask questions and discuss issues with members of the NHS in Lancashire and South Cumbria – usually on a specific topic.
The chair will keep to the timing on the agenda to make sure all items of business can be covered. This may mean not all questions can be covered in the meeting. Responses to all questions relevant to the agenda will be provided as part of the formal minutes of the meeting.
There may be need to hold meetings in public virtually at times, so please make sure you read the meeting etiquette section before joining one of our virtual meetings.
