Coniston Medical Practice – an update

Further to the update published on 27 February 2026 regarding the future of GP practice services in Coniston, we would like to provide a further update.

The ICB remains in negotiations with a local service provider regarding the opening of a branch practice in the village.

We hope these negotiations can be successfully concluded soon, at which time we will be in a position to formally announce how people registered with Coniston Medical Practice can continue to access care within their community.

We will provide a further update as soon as we are able to.

In the meantime, the Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative continues to manage the practice from its Wraysdale House premises.
