STOMP (stopping the over medication of people with learning disabilities, autism or both)

STOMP (stopping the over medication of people with learning disabilities, autism or both) is a national project involving many different organisations, which is working to stop the overuse of psychotropic medicines for people with a learning disability, autism or both. It was introduced by NHS England in 2016. The aim of the STOMP project is to promote the safe use of psychotropic medication for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, to ensure they are prescribed the right amount and for the shortest time possible.
