Fylde Coast blood testing service

A change to blood testing service provision across Fylde, Wyre and Blackpool took place in May 2025, as a result, the locations of where you get your blood tests carried out have changed.

Blood test requested by:

Your blood test will be at your GP practice.

Check with your practice for their blood clinic times and days. Appointment to be booked in advance.

Community Diagnostic Centres and Urgent Treatment Centres are co-located at:

  • Whitegate Drive Health Centre,150-158 Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, FY3 9ES
  • Fleetwood Health & Wellbeing Centre, Dock Street, Fleetwood, FY7 6HP

Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC)

Clinic hours: 09:00-16:15

Appointments must be booked in advance.

Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) Only when the CDC is closed.

Clinic hours:

  • Whitegate Drive Health Centre - 08:00-20:00
  • Fleetwood Health & Wellbeing Centre - 08:00-20:00

Walk-ins accepted.

Pathology outpatients

Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Whinney Heys Road, FY3 8NR. Ground Floor, Area 2, next to East Park Drive entrance.

Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30

Walk-ins are accepted but you will be given an appointment slot and may have to wait.

Child outpatient department

Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Whinney Heys Road, Blackpool, FY3 8NR.

Clinic hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00-22:00
  • Saturday and Sunday,10:00-22:00

Appointment to be booked in advance via GP referral.
