Various organisations across the Blackburn with Darwen place-based partnership, including the NHS, Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn College and the voluntary sector, held a virtual careers fair for students who have just received their GCSE results on 6th September 2023.

The event was aimed for students who may be thinking of a career in health and care, or who may be unsure of their next steps after receiving their GCSE results. Organisations highlighted the wide range of exciting job and training opportunities that the health and care sector has to offer and young people talked about the routes they had taken and their experiences of their chosen career path.

Attendees were shown how to access information on the career paths available in the sector, as well as how to access educational courses provided by Blackburn College and through the NW Careers Hub in Blackburn with Darwen.

This health and social care careers fair is a great demonstration of partners working together to support the population of Blackburn with Darwen.

The recording of the meeting can be found here and any additional information on accessing careers and opportunities for various partners can also be found using the links below.
