The Autumn COVID-19 vaccination offer is free for those eligible and will run from Wednesday 1st October 2025 to Saturday 31st January 2026.
You can get a COVID-19 vaccine if you:
- are aged 75 or over
- are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakend immune systems because of a health condition or treatment
- live in a care home for older adults
For this group it is recommended that you have two vaccinations a year - one very six monoths for the best protection.
The COVID-19 vaccines are offered regularly because viruses change, and protection fades over time. It's important to top up your protection if you're eligible.
Getting the COVID-19 vaccine can:
- help reduce your risk of getting severe symptoms
- help you recover more quickly if you catch COVID-19
- help you reduce your risk of having to go to hospitalor dying from COVID-19
- protect against different types of COVID-19 virus
How to get the COVID-19 vaccine this Autumn/Winter:
This Autumn COVID-19 vaccination offer is free for those eligible and runs from Wednesday 1st October 2025 to Saturday 31st January 2026.
If you're eligble for the Autumn COVID-19 vaccine, you can book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online or in the NHS App.
Vaccination appointments will take place from 1st October 2025.
From1st October 2025, you may also be able to get vaccinated at:
- a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination site such as a local community pharmacy or your GP surgery
- your care home (if you live in a care home)
Inter-seasonal Year round COVID-19 vaccination Access:
You may be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine if you have a weakend immune system because of a health condition or treatment.
Individuals who have severe immunosuppression may be at high risk of severe COVID-19 and less able to sustain any protection from previous vaccination or exposure.
This can include if you:
- are ages 6 months and over and have a health condition or are recieving treatment that severely weakens their immune system
- require revaccination following Chimeric Antigen Receptors Cell Therapy outside of a seasonal COVID-19 vacciantion campaign
- (CART-T) or stem cell transplantation and recovery
- have or had blood cancer, such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma
- have had an organ transplant, bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant
- are having or recently had chemotherapy, biological therapy or radiotherapy
